Warranty and Breakdown Procedure
Peace of mind and transparency with every vehicle
At Importocotxe, we deliver all our vehicles inspected and with a 12-month legal warranty, in accordance with Law 13/2013 of the Principality of Andorra.
We want to offer a clear and safe experience, which is why we detail exactly how the warranty works, what it covers, what it doesn't cover, what you should do if a breakdown occurs, and what happens in case of a recurring breakdown, according to the official regulations of the Government of Andorra.
1. What does our warranty cover?
The warranty covers mechanical, electrical and electronic breakdowns that affect the proper functioning of the vehicle and that are not the result of wear, misuse or inadequate maintenance.
Includes, among others:
- Engine and internal components
- Gearbox (manual or automatic)
- Injection system
- Power steering
- Main electrical system and critical electronic modules
- Differential and transmission
- Functional failures not caused by external factors
2. What does the warranty NOT cover?
a) Components subject to normal wear
Brake pads and discs • Clutch • Tyres • Shock absorbers • Wipers • Battery • Bulbs • Belts, filters and oils • Alignments and balancing • Gaskets and normal wear elements
b) Breakdowns caused by poor maintenance
Oil or fluids below level • Services not performed • Incorrect fuel • Overheating due to lack of coolant • Replacement of parts by third parties without authorization
c) External damage
Impacts, accidents, water, rust • Excessive washing pressure • Electronic modifications • Reprogramming • Installation of non-approved accessories
d) Repairs or diagnostics without prior authorization
Any intervention carried out without following the procedure invalidates the coverage.
3. Mandatory procedure in case of breakdown
For a repair to be covered by the warranty, it is essential to follow these steps:
Stop the vehicle if the breakdown could cause further damage
Do not drive if there are serious noises, oil/coolant leaks, red warning lights on dashboard, strong vibrations...

Send photos/video of the fault if possible
Wait for our authorization
Importocotxe will assign a partner workshop for diagnosis.
Repair approval
The workshop will issue a report that will be evaluated to determine if the breakdown is covered. If applicable, the repair will be covered.
4. Recurring breakdown (same breakdown)
Official regulations of Andorra:
According to the Government of Andorra's regulations on mechanical workshops:
Every repair carried out by a workshop has its own repair warranty.
Therefore:
If the breakdown reappears and is EXACTLY the same...
(same component, same cause, same system)
The repair becomes covered by the workshop that performed the previous repair.
This is called repair warranty and is mandatory according to the regulations:

5. Different breakdown
If the fault that appears is not the same as the one previously repaired —that is, it affects another component, another system, or is a different fault—:
Importocotxe will evaluate the diagnosis and, if the breakdown is covered by the warranty, the repair will be authorized.
6. Additional warranty conditions
Warranty valid for 12 months from delivery
Valid for vehicles registered in Andorra
The warranty is not renewed by carrying out repairs
The customer must keep maintenance invoices
Importocotxe may require repair at a partner workshop
Repair time suspends the warranty period
While the car is in the workshop to diagnose or repair a covered breakdown, the warranty time counter is paused. Once the customer recovers the repaired vehicle, the period continues from where it stopped.
